The Biggest story of week 9 was Brett Farve’s return to Lambo field as the Minnesota Vikings played the Green Bay Packers. I have to admit it was weird to see him in a Viking uniform at Lambo Field. I know Brett Farve did not like the way that he was pushed out of Green Bay and seemed to be up for this game. The 40 year old Farve did not looked washed up, throwing for 244 yards and 4 touchdowns, in a 38-26 win against his former team.
Week 8 is over and there are still 2 undefeated teams. The Colts are again ranked number one in the power rankings and are now 7-0. They should just hand the MVP to Peyton Manning right now; having him out there is like having another coach on the field, and he is a difference maker. In a 18-14 win against the San Fransico 49ers Manning threw for 347 yards.
The New Orleans Saint extended there record too 7-0 with a 35-27 win over the Atlanta Falcons despite 4 turnovers. In my opinion they are still the best team in the NFL. Also the Denver Broncos received their first loss to the hands of Baltimore Ravens. They were dominated in a 30-7 Loss, has their bubble burst? We will see next week?
Another team whose bubble has seemed to have burst is that of the New York Gaints. Through the first few weeks of the season they were the team to beat and owned the number on spot on the power rankings. However with back to back to back losses to the New Orleans Saints, Arizona Cardinals, and Philadelphia Eagles they are now 5-3 and have lost their confidence. All the injuries have caught up to the Giants.
The other team in New York, the Jets (4-4), keeps finding new ways to lose. Shutting down the Miami Dolphins Wildcat offense to just 106 yards and generating 378 total yards of offense they still found a way to lose. Ted Ginn Jr. of Miami returned back to back kickoffs for touchdowns in the third quarter and was the responsible for the Dolphins win.
